With 11 short films made on and inspired by the island, the Nantucket Short Film Festival put on an event not to be missed on stage at the Dreamland Theater. The winner of this year’s audience choice award was Penny Dey’s “Two Nights for a Quarter,” while N Magazine and Nantucket Current photographer Charity Grace Mofsen took home the best new filmmaker prize for her film, “The Meeting Place.” Since 2013,the Shorts Festival has provided a spotlight on local filmmaking, with dozens of comedies, documentaries, dramas and everything in between on the big screen for a night in October.
