Sorella Management Arrives on Nantucket

June 30, 2026

Sorella is Italian for “sister.” For Megan Calabrese, the founder of Sorella Management, the translation gets to the heart of the sistership

she created. “We approached this from day one as a team that deeply understands what it means to listen, care and execute,” Calabrese said. “It is extremely gratifying to have the opportunity to build a company with your friends, and hopefully show the next generation that they can too.”

Sorella Management, which offers a comprehensive suite of property and project management services designed to take the complexity out of homeownership, is now bringing that promise to Nantucket.

How did Sorella Management get its start?

Calabrese: Sorella was created from a genuine desire to provide a level of service that takes a client-first approach, treating each relationship like a partnership, and less like a transaction. Drawing on 20 years in real estate management, this experience allowed me to learn from great mentors the importance of strong foundational industry knowledge, and the importance of building a team and platform that can provide consistent service with an unwavering focus on the client.

What sets the company apart?

Calabrese: Precision is our standard, and it’s backed by both experience and infrastructure. We were intentional about building Sorella around a high-tech, high-touch approach. On the tech side, we’ve implemented an efficient, streamlined platform that keeps everything organized in one central location—client communications, maintenance requests, financial information, vendor coordination and property documentation—so nothing falls through the cracks and
our clients always have visibility into what’s happening with their property. On the touch side, that’s where our team’s character really shows. We know our clients, we know their homes, and we work to anticipate their needs before they have to ask. That combination of smart systems thinking and genuine human care is something you simply don’t find with larger, more transactional companies.

How can Sorella add to the Nantucket experience?

Calabrese: Nantucket is a place that inspires a certain kind of reverence. There’s a beauty and a character here that deserves to be honored. Sorella exists to make sure that when our clients arrive, whether it’s for a long summer season or a quick weekend escape, everything is perfect. The house is ready, the details are handled and they can simply exhale and enjoy the island. When the sun sets on another great season, clients can pack up and leave the island, knowing their property will be well cared for, projects managed and provided the peace of mind they deserve, knowing we are keeping watch in their absence.

We came to Nantucket because we saw a real need for a more thoughtful, holistic approach to property management here. And honestly, this island felt like the right place for company expansion to bring quality service, build strong relationships, and genuine care.

Nantucket homeowners tend to have exceptionally high standards, as they should. Their properties are not just homes; many are legacies. Sorella understands that deeply. We’ve built our operations around the unique rhythms and demands of this island, and our platform is designed specifically to meet those demands. Industry efficiency meets local knowledge, all in the service of the client.

What is the difference that comes with an all-female leadership team?

Calabrese: We focus on leading with empathy, listening to what matters with an eye for detail and execution that comes naturally to us. We put ourselves in our clients’ shoes, utilize industry expertise to inform decisions, and work together to find the right solution that fits the situation. Building the right team has been one of our greatest priorities from the start. I knew that no matter how strong our systems are, or how deep our vendor relationships, the experience our clients have is ultimately shaped by the people delivering it, and our team genuinely embodies that notion. So, we’ve been intentional about surrounding ourselves with those who share our values and our commitment to excellence. That culture of care and accountability is what makes Sorella different. We’re not just service providers, we become a trusted partner, for every detail.
